Habitat for Global Learning
HGL’s mission is to help develop a curriculum advancing students’ ability to successfully participate in a global environment.
Joe and Carol Stoebner have made a $50,000 commitment through Habitat for Global Learning to develop and implement a unique curriculum that radically advances our students’ abilities to successfully participate in a global environment through the understanding and knowledge of different languages, cultures, governments, science and business practices.
FEPS is working with the Stoebners and the school district to develop a five-year strategic plan that will focus on using technology to make global learning in Eden Prairie a reality.
The initial focus of these efforts will center on our partner school in Loudi, China.
HGL was founded in 2001 as the Habitat for Technology and changed its name and direction in June 2008. Now operating as the Habitat for Global Learning, HGL's mission is to promote and support the Eden Prairie School District in developing a truly unique curriculum that radically advances our students' ability to successfully participate in a global environment through the understanding and knowledge of different languages, cultures, governments, science, and business practices.
