Courses
Both the 5K Run/Walk and the 1-Mile Kids Fun Run start and end in Aerie Stadium at Eden Prairie High School.
The Kids Fun Run takes place on the track in Aerie Stadium, while the 5K Run/Walk meanders around Round Lake Park, finishing in the stadium.
Volunteers, medical assistance, and a water stop will be available.
Course Map/Description
Start/Finish: On the SE side of the track the last set of yellow dashes before the turn.
Mile 1: 54 Ft SE of the first bench on the SE lake trail.
Mile 2: 12 black fence posts W of the Valley View RD pedestrian bridge on the sidewalk.
Mile3: 49 Ft from back wall of stadium towards school on SW entrance to stadium.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Right turn outside stadium grounds.
Left turn at corner of parking lot.
Left turn to cross parking lot entrance before stop sign and proceed to sidewalk on east side of Hames Way.
Straight ahead along sidewalk on east side of Hames Way.
Left turn to entrance to Round Lake Park (between house #7335 & #7359).
Stay to left.
Right turn to get on path that goes around lake.
Continue on path that goes around lake.
Stay on path (do not go on dirt trail through woods).
Continue on path that goes around lake.
Right turn to head toward building (rest rooms).
Left turn on east side of building.
Straight ahead on path toward pavilion.
Slight right toward pavilion (Biff is to your right).
Left turn in front of pavilion – THIS IS THE WATER STOP.
Right turn to get on path and continue around lake (tennis courts will be on right).
Continue on path that goes around lake.
Stay on path and go toward Hames Way.
Stay on path and continue toward Hames Way.
Right turn to take sidewalk up hill.
Stay on sidewalk heading toward Hwy 4.
Left turn at Hwy 4 (stay on sidewalk on west side of Hwy 4).
Stay on sidewalk heading toward Eagle Way.
Left turn at Eagle Way (stay on left side of road).
Proceed to sidewalk.
Stay on sidewalk past east entrance (right turn at east entrance).
Left turn at road that runs between school and stadium.
Right turn into stadium grounds.
Course was measured using the shortest possible route.
